HIKING

The base of our hiking programs is the Eastern Black Sea region.  This incomparable region hosts a joyous people famous for their sense of humor, music and the horon dances.  In addition there are the green mountains, pastures  and lakes.  Our tours constitute trips through the history, culture and the natural beauty of the region.

The Blacsea region of Turkey is still relatively unexplored. There are hundreds of villages in as many high pastures that not yet seen a tourist.  There are virgin forests and routes that wait to be discovered.  Think of the Blacksea region as a giant Adventure Park. You can do almost all the nature activities, ranging from bird watching, to taking a botanical tour to parasailing, rafting and canoeing.

Of course, our hiking program is not limited to the Eastern Blacksea area. We can arrange tours to the Kure Mountains in the Middle Blacksea region, to the Yenice forest in the Western part of the Blacksea shore. In addition there are the Kaz Mountains to be explored on the Northern Aegean Sea area, as well as the Spil Mountain in the Southern Aegean Sea region.  The Mediterranean Sea areas of Turkey have the Olympus Mountains in the west, the Toros ranges in the middle, and the Amanos mountains in the East. One should not forget the mountains in inner Anatolia that are also waiting to be explored.   

Hiking tours are less strenuous than the trekking tours.  During the hiking tours we try to present the natural beauty of the area along with the local history and folk culture. Sometimes we will be guests of villagers in their homes, sometimes we will stay at a local inn, and sometimes we will pitch our tent in a remote corner of a forest.  We will take a walk for a few hours, and follow it with a siesta; sometimes we will test ourselves with a longer hike over a slightly difficult terrain.  In short, we will try to have you have a relaxing, informative and healthful vacation.
