Anatolia
has been the host of many varied cultures starting at about 8000 BC.
Catalhoyuk is the site where one of the oldest civilizations, the
Hittites, was based.
The Hittites, Urarts, Phrygians, Lydians, Ionians, Persians, were
followed by Alexander the Great.
The Hellenistic and the Romans eras were followed by the Selcuk
and the Ottoman empires. In addition, there were other smaller civilized
communities.
All of these left their mark upon the four corners of the land.
Thousands of works have been uncovered, and many are waiting to
see daylight.
Our

resulted from the many influences enumerated above.
